Abstract

With reference to the claim, subsequently withdrawn, by the “OPERA” collaboration of “National Gran Sasso Laboratories” of the observation of superluminal neutrinos, I briefly recall some basic principles of Relativity Theory and discuss some very stringent positive tests that come from the lack of observation of some effect of the type of Cherenkov effect and indirectly from the OPERA results themselves as stressed by some authors.
