The following article deeply examines the linguistic and stylistic forms of the novel “Il Fuoco”. The analysis of such forms bears witness to the presence, in a language unusually rich and varied besides a style full of figures of speech, of polished and old-fashioned expressions, which characterize the high literary tone and the expressive grandeur of D’Annunzio “king of the words”.
