L’ACQUISIZIONE E LA PUBBLICAZIONE DELLE CARTE DI VOLTA

Abstract

The note presents the motivations and steps that led to the acquisition of Alessandro Volta’s papers by the Istituto Lombardo, and introduces the stages of the publication of the National Edition, which, during the 20^th century, made many Volta’s texts known. It is also stressed that the new philological instruments could be used effectively to approach with new studies the papers of Alessandro Volta that are preserved at the Istituto Lombardo.
