LA RIFLESSIONE DELLE NAZIONI UNITE TRA PASSATO E FUTURO. SOSTENIBILITÀ AMBIENTALE, SOCIALE E FINANZIARIA: UNA SFIDA IMPOSSIBILE?

Abstract

In this essay, I will propose a reflection on the degree of compatibility among the environmental, social and financial sustainability. I will also show the key intellectual role that the United Nations played and are still playing in giving a, let us say, “slightly optimistic” answer to this key question: strengthening international cooperation is the only way to expand the otherwise extremely narrow space of compatibility among those three fundamental dimensions of sustainability.
