LE VERSIONI ITALIANE DELLA STORIA DI FIORAVANTE

Abstract

After G. Contini’s finding of the codex Conv. Soppr. da Ord. Badia 30, stored in BNCF, no systematic study has been carried out about the Storia di Fioravante contained in the codex. This paper aims at demonstrating, through textual compar-isons, that this chivalric romance is an autonomous version of Fioravante’s tale docu-mented in other four Italian compilations.
